Our professional staff possess a critical combination of business intelligence, communication skills and computer networking experience. This allows our technicians to solve challenging problems and answer questions fast. This also means our clients' networks run properly with minimal downtime, thus allowing them to focus on their core business and maximize their productivity.

Michael Bertei – IT Manager

Michael Studied at James Cook University where he successfully completed a Bachelor of Science Degree majoring in Computer Science. Michael started out his career in the IT industry as the IT Manager in the hospitality sector at the Cairns Colonial Club Resort. He then moved to the Islander Board of Industry & Service (IBIS Supermarkets in the Torres Strait) where he accomplished installing one of the first wide area network systems in the region, allowing stores to be centrally managed from Cairns. Michael then joined EMG to head up the IT division for the My Pathway Group in 2007 bringing with him the depth of experience and knowledge which has proven invaluable in allowing the business to grow over the past several years.

Michael's overall experience in the industry spans two decades.

Role : Responsible for the overall strategic vision of the My Pathway Group's IT & Telephony Infrastructure

Focus : IT Consulting, Design and Installations, Product Research/Selection, Data Cabling

Nathan Bicknell – IT Operations Manager

Nathan Migrated to Australia in 2004. He attended TAFE prior to finding his first job with ITEC Employment as an IT Support Officer. Since then he has transitioned to EMG IT, and progressed through from Technician to lead IT Operations. Having now been with the company for over a decade, he has a great understanding of the intricacies involved with the setup and support of IT systems in remote areas.

Nathan's overall experience in the industry spans over a decade.

Role : Coordinates and maintains all IT & Telephony systems for the My Pathway Group

Focus : Resource Distribution, Support Desk Management, My Pathway Site Design & Setup, Office365 and SharePoint Specialist

Brian Laws – Senior IT Technician

Brian joined us in 2012, he came from the position of IT Technician at Corporate Computer Solutions where he worked for a more corporate client base around the Cairns region. He has brought with him advanced knowledge of virtualisation and backup technologies that have allowed us to take a step further toward being a leading IT provider.

Brian's overall experience in the industry spans over a decade.

Role : Provide internal & external support for all IT & Telephony systems

Focus : Backup & Virtualization Specialist, Support Desk & Installations, External Sales & Installations, Data Cabling

Darren Cambell – IT Technician

Darren joined us in 2015, He started his IT career at Brilliant Technologies in a front sales position where he worked up to the level of Senior Bench Technician and was responsible for ensuring swift service and return of customer equipment. He has brought with him excellent customer service and a thorough service ethic, making him a great fit for EMG IT.

Shane Jago – IT Technician

Shane is our newest Member to join the team in November 2019. He started his IT career back in 2001 with AAA PC Parts and also worked as a self-employed computer Technician. He then moved on to work for TropicNet and most recently Talk to the Mac. Shane has a passion for Information Technology and is always updating his knowledge through self-study and his own self-built IT Lab.

He has brought with him a lot of experience and has a strong work ethic, making him a great fit for EMG IT.

Bronson Tippins – IT Projects Support Officer

Bronson has been working with us since 2016 on a casual basis whilst completing his University Degree which he has now completed in November 2019. He is now joining us as a full time employee filling the new position IT Project Support Officer where he will manage a lot of our internal projects as well as security.

Role : Provide project support to the Senior IT Team whilst still assisting with internal & external support for all IT systems
